Home Remedy When There Is Blood When Blowing Nose

Drinking warm water with a teaspoonful of cayenne pepper powder is said to stop the bleeding immediately. It relieves pressure on the blood vessels.

Vitamin K and vitamin C rich foods

Green leafy vegetables and fruits are long-term relievers of nosebleeds. They are essential for blood clotting, so don’t forget to have fruit once in a while.

Nettle

A cotton pad dipped in nettle solution and placed on the nose for about 10 minutes stops the bleeding. Nettle is a homeostatic agent.

Essential oils

Essential oils, more so lavender oil, are very useful when it comes to nosebleeds. Just dip a paper towel in the oil mixed with water and press gently on the nose for a couple of minutes. Its astringent properties stop the bleeding.

Onion

A cotton ball dipped in onion juice and placed in the affected nostril for 3 to 4 minutes should do the trick. It stops bleeding by facilitating blood clotting.
